It's amazing!..... Pink Color Lake When you think of what color a lake might be; blue, brown, maybe even green may come to mind. But I doubt you would ever associate the color pink with of body of water. Well for anyone traveling over the western islands of Australia this unbelievable phenomenon can be witnessed with their own eyes. The captivating pink lake is not a trick of the light , and it retains its hue when removed, but the origin of it’s bubble gum aesthetics remains a mystery the science community is still trying to solve. best guess right now is that it has to do with the high salt levels in the water. Being that Lake Hillier is 10 times saltier than the ocean, it is the perfect breeding ground for the salt loving micro-algae  Dunaliella Salina.  These tiny little guys produce pigment compounds that absorb light like Beta Carotene which is the same kind of stuff that makes carrots orange and some cabbages purple.

WhatsApp flap shows importance of message platform to Facebook     When WhatsApp users began to raise concerns about a new privacy policy being rolled out, members of a Washington pickup soccer group decided to switch their communications to rival messaging platform Signal, ditching the Facebook-owned service. The shift was “about moving as many users away from the Facebook Empire, which for my liking has become way too big and powerful,” said Bernhard Fleck, one of the players. The flap over WhatsApp's privacy policy ― described by Facebook as a misunderstanding about efforts to bring businesses onto the platform ― threatens to erode trust in the service which is increasingly important to the leading social network's future. The California giant last month delayed implementation of a new policy which critics said could expand data collection from some two billion WhatsApp users around the world. Even with the delay in place, the policy caused an uproar and pro

Facebook news goes dark in Australia as content spat escalates SYDNEY, Feb 18 — Australians woke to empty news feeds on their Facebook Inc pages today after the social media giant blocked all media content in a surprise and dramatic escalation of a dispute with the government over paying for content. The move was swiftly criticised by news producers and lawmakers, many of whom pointed out that official health and meteorology pages had also been scrubbed during the coronavirus pandemic and at the height of Australia’s summer bushfire season. “So Facebook can instantly block @abcperth, @6PR, @BOM_au, @BOM_WA, AND @dfes_wa in the middle of the #bushfire season, but they can’t take down murderous gun crime videos? Incredible. Unbelievable. Unacceptable. The arrogance,” Madeleine King, a federal opposition lawmaker, wrote in a tweet referring to impacted emergency services Facebook and search giant Google Inc had both warned they could cancel services in Australia because of

Jaguar car brand to be all-electric by 2025 Jaguar Land Rover's Jaguar brand will be all-electric by 2025, the carmaker has said.   The company will launch electric models of its entire Jaguar and Land Rover line-up by 2030, it added. The firm said it would keep all three of its three British plants open as part of its new strategy. But it has dropped plans to build an electric version of its XJ saloon at the Castle Bromwich plant, meaning the site will eventually stop making cars. Chief executive Thierry Bolloré said the plant would focus instead on "non-production" activities in the long term, without giving details.   The company plans to spend about £2.5bn a year on new technology for its cars. This is a big move for Jaguar Land Rover, but the reality is it has little choice. Like other manufacturers, it is under pressure to reduce the CO2 emissions from its fleet, as new regulations come into force in Europe and elsewhere. At the same time, sales
